The Mineral Exploration Symposium 2020 will take place on 17 and 18 September. It will bring together key innovators of the most advanced technologies and methods for mineral exploration in Europe. The virtual event, jointly organised by EAGE and EASME, will highlight the role that the EU is playing in the domestic and sustainable supply of raw materials, in particular through funding Research and Innovation projects. The Horizon 2020 project INFACT is part of the Technical Committee and will participate in this event with other projects that are developing breakthrough technologies and new approaches for mineral exploration in Europe. Representatives of European exploration companies and professionals from academia will also participate in the symposium.

The main objectives of the event are:

  • To exchange results and good practices from EU-funded projects working on the exploration of mineral resources;
  • Present potential solutions and showcase technical developments in this domain;
  • Address the challenges in mineral exploration including innovation;
  • Create synergies among the different stakeholders working in this domain for future collaboration.

The admission to the event is free, but registration is mandatory.
