It has been an incredible week for INFACT at the 2019 SAGA conference and exhibition in Durban, South Africa:

  • Andrea Viezzoli from Aarhus Geophysics gave a keynote presentation on “IP effects demand rethinking the time-depth relationship and sensitivity in TDEM measurements”, presenting interesting Airborne IP responses from the tailings in Rio Tinto.
  • Project coordinator Leila Ajjabou gave a talk on the EU Reference sites and their attractiveness for technology developers.
  • The project was also represented by Chris Wijns from Cobre Las Cruces – First Quantum Minerals and Robert Wilson & Jean Legault represented Geotech Ltd.
  • Finally it was also the opportunity to officialise the upcoming collaboration with the Smart Exploration project and SkyTEM  and gather further interest from the geophysical community.

Many thanks to Mary Mahlatji and SAGA Technical Committee for those opportunities!
